Swan Lake es una banda compuesta por Daniel Bejar (Destroyer, New Pornographers), Spencer Krug (Wolf Parade, Sunset Rubdown) y Carey Mercer (Frog Eyes) quienes debutan con "Beast Moans", una sorpresa musical para sonreír de oreja a oreja con su original pop experimental, recargado de sintetizadores brillantes y coloridos en peculiares formas exploratorias que se dan dentro de las canciones de intenciones semi-pop. Los trabajos en sus respectivas bandas pueden dar un idea de que trata este proyecto en el cual, un sinfín de estilos conviven orquestados por una gran variedad de instrumentos utilizados, pero donde destaca el gran trabajo de diversos teclados.

Three new miniature masterpieces from the alchemical crucible of John Zorn. Orphee is a lush romantic work in the French tradition of Debussy, Boulez and Jean Cocteau. Drawing inspiration from both the ancient Greek legend of Orpheus, who ventured to the Underworld to recover his lost love and Debussy's Sonata for flute, viola and harp, this is one of Zorn's most emotional and classical compositions, and features the Debussy trio instrumentation augmented by percussion, keyboards and the sparkling electronics of Ikue Mori. Frammenti del Sappho is a breathtakingly beautiful motet for five female voices, and speaks to and for the feminine through a language of Renaissance Minimalism. Ending the program is of course a piece touching on Witchcraft, and Zorn celebrates the Witches?Sabbath through the dynamic medium of the string trio. Fifteen of the world's best performers come together in this colorful and revelatory collection of Zorn compositions from 2004.

Owls, Windmachines, Gravedigging and Ritual Magick, Zorn抯 strange and mystical monodrama for mezzo soprano and ten instruments is presented here in a beautiful new studio recording. Composed for the Bayreuth Opera Festival in 1998, the Rituals premiere was a bit of a scandal, with the audience split down the middle卙alf outraged detractors, stomping out, whistling and jeering and half cheering supporters. Performed here by a stellar group of Zorn regulars and some very special guests, Rituals is opera at its virtuosic and intimate best. Five movements of magic and alchemy from the crucible of an uncompromising and unpredictable musical maverick.

SE. Sophia - 2002 - Spite

　　Sophia surfaced as a result of the geographical distance that affected the people involved in Arcana. This is, therefore, a solo endeavor of Peter Pettersson, the mastermind behind Arcana, who hereby presents a more militaristic orientation in his songwriting. The highlights here are the powerful and magnificent percussion work, along with the horns and orchestral arrangements that will easily tie this to the Arcana material, and the more ominous Dark Ambient moments, stocked with disquieting dismal soundscapes and sinister whispered vocals. The angelic choir vocals of Arcana, along with the blissful and ecclesiastically romantic flavor of Peter´s work under that title, have given way to severe and harsh militaristic movements, that will easily recall the likes of Der Blutharsch, with the added bonus that the production on this debut from Sophia possesses a striking power that is pretty much unparalleled in the genre. A work of majestic proportions, full of bold and epic musical pieces, that are sure to leave you thirsty for enemy blood through its use of hypnotic martial percussions and morose orchestrations.
　　
　　Comprising a few tracks from last years liveperformances around Europe, along with some fresh ones composed this spring, "Spite" offers a fine blend of orchestral viciousness and rhythmical pounding for those dissipated and anguished.
